What is a General Assembly?
A General Assembly is a formal gathering of student representatives and/or the entire student body to discuss, debate, and vote on important matters affecting the student community. It serves as a platform for students to participate in decision-making processes and hold the student government or leadership accountable.
Good to know
General and Special General Meetings shall be governed by the latest edition of Robert's rules of order.
Each member (undergraduate Psychology and Neuroscience students) has the right to participate and vote in Special General Meetings.
Quorum for a Special General meetings shall be four percent (4%) of the Regular Members.
The request must contain the items of business to be included on the agenda of the special meeting. Only the items contained in the notice of meetings can be discussed at a special general meeting.
